Meaning

Dr. Hayley is an adoptee from Seoul, Korea. Seoul represents where her life began.

Soulfully, this reminds us of the inseparable connection between the body, mind, and soul. Our roots shape us. The people who raise us, the environments we inhabit, and the experiences we carry all leave their imprint on who we become.

Along the way, it is easy to lose sight of ourselves. We learn who we “should” be, what we “should” value, and how we “should” move through the world. Yet beneath those layers remains something unchanged - our authentic nature, our inner Knowing, our Center.

The journey back to ourselves is not about becoming someone new. It is about remembering who we have been all along.

The solstice symbolizes the duality, natural cycles, rhythms, and transitions that are woven throughout life. It reflects the reality that growth is not always linear; there are seasons of expansion and contraction, challenge and ease, darkness and light. Each season serves a purpose, inviting us to learn, adapt, and evolve.

In many ways, this mirrors the journey of healing. As we begin to unwind layers of stress, tension, and compensation, we create space for something different to emerge. Like the solstice marking a turning point, healing can become an invitation to move toward greater balance, harmony, and alignment with the life that calls to you most deeply.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

Not like your typical, ‘doctor office’, this space was curated to be an extension of Dr. Hayley and Dr. Jake. It is warm, inviting, soft, and comforting. The intention behind this space is to feel like a second home - a place where you can feel grounded, safe, seen, supported, and connect to your body.

Our Space

Healing isn't meant to happen in isolation. This adjusting style offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and experience care alongside others who are on their own path toward greater health. Within this shared environment, many people find a sense of comfort, inspiration, and connection. Together, we create a space where healing, growth, and community can naturally unfold.

Open Adjusting

We believe healing takes time, which is why our visits are designed to be more than a quick adjustment. We can take a comprehensive, whole-body approach rather than simply addressing a 'symptom'. Each visit is intentional, thorough, and personalized to you.

Intentional Sessions

Our focus is on the nervous system and how it functions. By looking at the patterns present within the spine, we gain insight into how your body has adapted to stress and through intentional care, we help create more space, balance, and harmony within your system, allowing your body to function with greater ease and adaptability.

Nervous System-Based Approach

A Space for Asian Adoptees

‍ ‍ “As a Korean adoptee, Seoulstice was created with a deep understanding that our stories live not only in our minds, but also in our bodies. The nervous system begins developing before birth and continuously adapts to the experiences that shape us throughout life. For many adoptees, early separation, questions surrounding identity, belonging, and connection can leave lasting imprints on how we move through the world. For Asian Americans, experiences of cultural displacement, invisibility, pressure to assimilate, or feeling "between worlds" can also contribute to chronic stress patterns held within the body.

At Seoulstice, we recognize that these experiences are often more than intellectual - they can be embodied. They may show up as chronic tension, difficulty relaxing, feeling disconnected from yourself, persistent stress, or a sense that your body is always carrying more than it should.

Our approach to chiropractic care centers on the nervous system. Through thoughtful assessment and specific chiropractic adjustments, we help create opportunities for the body to shift out of patterns of protection and into greater adaptability, resilience, and ease. While every person's journey is unique, many people find that as their nervous system becomes more regulated, they experience a deeper sense of connection - to themselves, their bodies, and their lives.

Whether you're navigating adoption, exploring your cultural identity, or simply seeking a space where your experiences are understood, our intention is to provide care that honors the whole person. We believe healing is not about becoming someone new - it's about creating the conditions that allow you to reconnect with who you've always been.”
